 WELCOME, Dear Friends, to ANBAALAYAM’S own Web Site!

    ANBAALAYAM is a part of JYOTI ASHRAM, at Thanneerpalli, near Tiruchirappalli in South India. ANBAALAYAM was begun in December 2000 as a Home for the Destitute. This activity is going on with great success. Within months, the home has 11 members and 2 volunteers. 

      Besides taking care of these our less privileged brethren, (thanks to YOU, not less privileged any more!) ANBAALAYAM's activities now include: 

  • Providing money for Medical Care, 

  • Help for Fees, Notebooks and Uniforms for School going Children,  

  • Evening Coaching Classes for the same, and 

  • Providing Meals for those in Need.

      ALL THIS IS HAPPENING BECAUSE OF YOUR KIND SUPPORT. THANKS FOR THIS.

           

 

 

Let us CONSIDER:

 

        We live in A BEAUTIFUL WORLD!

        There is a lot of BEAUTY, GOODNESS and JOY all around us.

        I have so many people who love me. Take Christo, my Spiritual daughter’s son, for instance, suitably attired for the Indian Summer! After his mother, I seem to come as second in list of  “most-loved ones!”  Great, isn’t it?

        But then, so have You! You have Your own favourites, and people who consider YOU as their favourites.

        We only have to take time to CONSIDER, and we will have to acknowledge that this great, big world that we live in is a Good Place.

 

At the very same time, we know, (we do not even have to take time to consider!) that it is A SAD WORLD. Besides the spate of the extremes of weather and natural disasters, in the form of Earthquakes, Torrential Rains, Droughts and Raging Fires that we have experienced in the recent past, each day brings news of new calamities. 

        And then we have TERRORISM.

           ...How much property destroyed?  …How many lives lost? ...How many innocent and helpless people killed and rendered homeless?

        Among those who come for the evening coaching classes is one Bhuvaneshwari, aged about 14 years. On the very first day of the class she fainted because she had not eaten properly for quite some time. (So now the children coming for the evening classes get a meal as well, if they want it.)

 

     NOT EVERYTHING IS LOST! There is HOPE for the world yet. 

Every bit done for betterment does have its effect.

     And so we at ANBAALAYAM have come forward to do our little bit to 

MAKE THIS WORLD A MORE BEAUTIFUL PLACE.
